hair thats bangin'

i recently went from medium length sandy blonde, to ash brown with balayaged extensions. I will admit it was a scary change that freaked me out at first, but at the end of the day it has given my self esteem a huge boost and saved me money because i no londer have to bleach the roots anymore...
i did the whole makeover myself and have had many positive comments so before anyone tells you never use supermarket dyes tell them to get fucked, you can. although it is a little more difficult, actually alot more difficult than going to a pro.. first thing you need to know before dying your hair brown from blonde is... dye it red to avoid the brown from going green.  if you dye your hair brown from blonde put red in your hair first. the red will lock in the clour. if you want to keep a brown ash tone then use a cool ash brown over the red. if you use a warm brown over the red expect a heap of warmth, which does not work on cool skin tones. people also say don't go blonde on your own, what a load of shit. your hair may not be as healthy whn you bleach it yourself but it can work out. i reccomend using garnier nutrisse for going blonde and cloouriste by shwartzcropft when going brown.
i used both and they were the best also the colouriste one only takes ten minutes.

part 1 of the summer wardrobe

ahh, yes summer has arrived. i can smell the corona aroma wafting through the air, exciting me for backyard bbq's and all the festivities to come. summer means changing my wardrobe-keep spring nudes and florals (personally i think florals never go out). time to chop those winter jeans into cool summer shorts and maybe add some vintage fabric for some fun. for me summer means searching through op-shops  and markets         for some cute fabric to make some totes for myself and friends. ahh summer, we have missed you. so what is going to be huge this summer?

• BIG BRIGHT & BOLD

i am predicting that bold splashes of colour are going to be huge! team oranges with aguas or tuquoise, bright purples with yellows and turquoise even add some creams and browns to splashes of bold pinks and corals. my faourite is yello with turquoise. i think yellow will be huge this summer, and why not? i have never wore yellow until i bought sally hansen fast dryin in lightning yellow and i am in love.

ahh here it is the yellow. don't forget the peaches, apricots and and corals with a modern twist.
if you're still in love with the nudes don't worry you will get away with them n summer too. i am a sucker for nude tones so i have revampe my sping dresses with a cute hat from Portamans,alittle straw small brimmed one..

• JUMPSUITS AND PLAYSUITS

playsuits and jumpsuits are in. One teaspoon made a few good ones yearrrrrrssss ago and i was instantly in love. cute florals and vintage fabrics in the shorts are excellent for the day and long bold coloured ones for nught make you look sophisticated and feminine.

• BIKINIS

oh and ofcourse how could i forget the beach...THE BEACH.!! this year the high waisted bikini is IN! although apparantly few are game to wear them. i lovvve them and i know hotel bondi are making some cute one piece and two piece out of crothet (mums favourite)

so we are looking forward to a very fun and fahionable summer. with good music and friends and markets. oh and santa and i know what i will be asking that guy for... BIKINIS HIGH WAISTED BIKINIS..
